We don’t usually pick favourites, but this yellow-footed cutie deserves a special mention. In fact, we think it deserves to win Marsupial of the Year.

The yellow-footed rock wallaby is one of 21 marsupials vying for the win in Network 10’s The Project’s inaugural fundraising initiative – ‘Marsupial of the Year’. The top ten marsupials to receive the most votes will move into the next round where Australians will raise funds for their marsupial of choice.

All funds raised for the yellow-footed rock wallaby will go toward our ACF campaigns to protect this precious marsupial and other threatened and endangered Australian species.

How does ACF's work protect the yellow-footed rock wallaby?

Bulldozing of bush and forest, and fires, floods and drought fuelled by climate change are destroying nature and driving wildlife to extinction. Australia has one of the worst extinction rates on Earth, and it’s getting worse.

At ACF we are campaigning for stronger nature laws that actually protect nature, for a food system that does not include bulldozing precious habitat and for a renewable-powered future that exists in harmony with the environment.

Together we are fighting to protect and restore nature in Australia so people, communities and wildlife like the yellow-footed rock wallaby can thrive.
