Get a sign for nature this election
Thank you for hosting a sign!
Putting up a sign on your fence, in your street-facing window or in your front yard is one of the most effective ways to build pressure on political parties and candidates. It's a clear and powerful way to tell them: “Yes to renewables and protecting nature, no to nuclear and climate-wrecking coal and gas!”
If you have any questions about your sign, please email yardsigns@acf.org.au.
Get your sign up:
If one of our volunteers didn’t put your sign up for you, now is the time to get it out there!
Maximise visibility: Find a spot in your yard, on a fence, or in a window where it will be noticed. Just make sure it doesn’t obstruct anyone’s view or walkway.
Fasten it securely: Corflute is easy to work with and can be punctured for cable ties or attached to stakes.
Reuse it:
Keep your sign up on your fence or in your yard at least until after the next federal election. When it’s time to retire your placard, give it a new purpose:
Line your garden beds – Corflute can help keep soil in place and reduce weeds. Add a few drainage holes to keep roots healthy!
Upcycle for home projects – Trim it to size for shed shelves, use it to waterproof a kennel or chicken coop, or trim out the icons to remix with your own art.
Make a new sign – paint over the whole thing and you’ve got a fresh canvas to work with. Perfect for taking to a rally or popping back up on your fence.
Leave it up! Keep fighting for nature and the climate no matter who wins the next election. Some councils have rules about how long you can leave election materials up, so make sure you check the rules in your local area.
Recycle responsibly:
Ready to recycle? If you live in Melbourne or Sydney you can drop it off at a Corex recycling location. You can also check with your local council to see if you’re able to put it in your yellow recycling bin.
