Join ACF Eastern Sydney for a screening of the beautiful film 'Whale Nation' at the Ritz!

ACF Eastern Sydney has been championing the Southern Right Whale for the last year - demanding stronger nature protection laws that will actually protect this endangered species. Did you know that only around 270 Southern Right Whales left in the South East Australian population? That's terrifying. It's why we need to come together to celebrate these beautiful animals and protect them however we can.

Please note you do need to book your own tickets via Ritz Cinema.

From the Ritz Cinema film description:

"Telling the story of a beached humpback whale from both the perspective of a young girl and the whale itself, Whale Nation takes viewers on a journey to explore the majesty and intelligence of the world's largest mammals.

Whale Nation delves into their complex social lives, deep intelligence, and vital role in maintaining the health of the oceans. The film features rich underwater footage of whales swimming in their natural habitats, as well as interviews with experts in marine biology, ecology, and conservation.

Inspired by the poetry of Heathcote Williams' book "Whale Nation," the film was shot over the course of several years and covers a range of topics, including the impact of human activity on whale populations and the ongoing efforts to protect these magnificent creatures.

Whale Nation is a powerful call to action, urging audiences to take steps to protect the oceans and the creatures that call them home."

This event is for a group of us to go together. We'll likely grab a drink and a bite to eat after the movie as well.

We hope you can join us for this beautiful event.
