We all share a deep connection with the natural environment and are motivated to protect biodiversity. Where an environment has been polluted and degraded, we want to help it be rehabilitated and protected.

Westgate Park is an outstanding local example of the successful rehabilitation by volunteers of an urban environment once mined for sand, degraded by industrial processes and rubbish, into a beautiful park re-vegetated with local indigenous plants. The park now attracts many visiting and resident wildlife species to the complex biological communities which have formed there.

ACF Community Macnamara invite you to come along and meet the volunteers at Westgate Biodiversity for a morning planting activity, followed by a 3.5-kilometre tour of Westgate Park. A BYO picnic is being held in the park afterwards.

It is a great opportunity to spend some time at a very significant location within our community and to connect with like minded people!

If you are unable to attend all activities it's ok. RSVP and we’ll be in touch to confirm attendance to individual activities, provide maps and any other important information for the day😊
