Welcome Back Shorebirds - Protect insects protect birds!

This is a free fun family event!

To celebrate World Migratory Bird Day and Welcome Back the legendary Shorebirds that come to feed on the mudflats at Toondah Harbour this time every year. 

Our focus this year will be all about PROTECT INSECTS; PROTECT BIRDS. 
The amazing "Bug Lady" Michelle Gleeson will explain why birds need insects to survive - and get a close-up look at her ‘bug display’!

We will be "buzzing" to the tunes from local Quandamooka artist, the gorgeous "Nix Gross".

There will be heaps of opportunities for children to create art and learn about the importance of insects and habitat for our birds and for us.

Plus all the usual great stuff - Community Stalls, food and coffee vans, telescopes for looking at the birds, nature displays, awesome raffle prizes and much more.
