With Australia heading into another Angry Summer, now is the best time to talk about the climate crisis and how it is supercharging extreme events like heatwaves and bushfires.

For a lot of us, our groups will be winding down over the holiday period and taking a much-needed and well-earned break. The recovery time is really important, but sometimes it means that we have fewer outlets when bad news or events occur.

Catastrophic bushfires, extreme heatwaves, mass fish deaths, government reports buried and then released at a time when most people are distracted - how do we cope with those as an individual?

We want the ACF community to feel prepared for the things that an Angry Summer can throw at us, and to feel empowered to take action at an individual level - whether it’s on social media, writing a letter to a newspaper, or going on talkback radio.

This webinar will cover ACF’s key messaging around Angry Summer events such as bushfires, drought, power outages and more.

We will explain how to communicate this with your communities and keep the heat on where it needs to be - our elected representatives and the big polluting companies who are currently contributing to the climate crisis.
