Walkerville Bush Care Planting Preparation

This again is a short session where we plan to prepare the site, Myunggidja Adjika Bush Uses Track for planting.  There are plants used for tools, basketry, medicines as well as a range of bush foods. Trees For Life have grown plants for the Walkerville Bushcare sites. Local primary school children from Walkerville Primary School will complete the planting in coming weeks prior to the mid year break.

There will also be a Community Planting at the Swing Bridge, end of Severn St Gilberton on Saturday the 15^th of June from 9am-10.30am. 

This work is complimented by the rubbish cleaning initiated at the end of May and hopefully ultimately make the area suitable to host platypuses now anticipated to enter the river in 2025.

After the event there is an opportunity to kick back at the adjacent cafe Faar Farr Away to discus and consider how this work can be extended up and down the river.
