Walk for Toondah

We need you.... and your mum for a Mothers Day Walk to save Toondah Harbour!

Help us celebrate Migratory Bird Day with a family friendly event starting at Raby Bay Harbour Park at 9am.

There will be stalls from local community environmental groups, music and a visit from Beako the giant Far Eastern Curlew puppet.

The walk will be slow and short around Cleveland CBD, led by Beako and local Aboriginal Elders. Help us shout, “We say NO!”
to 3600 units being built in the bay.

This is our opportunity, before the election to inform our elected members and candidates in the local area that we oppose development in our bay. Marching together shows the future Federal Environment Minister that locals and residents of Brisbane do not want 3600 units on Ramsar wetlands in Morton Bay Marine Park. Because it will destroy the bay and precious wildlife at Toondah Harbour.

Toondah Harbour is the bay where you catch the ferry over to Stradbroke Island/Minjerribah (behind the Grandview Hotel). We need to protect it and we need everyone’s support. Marching together shows you care about the future of the Redlands!
