Together We Can launch event

Together We Can is a collection of everyday people, groups and businesses from all over the country who want more action on climate change. Join us for our launch event!

You’ll hear from an exciting lineup of community leaders on the need for all of us to get involved in action, including:

• Zubaida Alrubai, a teacher in Blacktown in Sydney’s western suburbs. Zubaida wants to get to a point where no one is suffering from extreme heat, and we have policies to help deal with the reality of climate change. Zubaida is a member of the Voices for Power campaign with the Sydney Alliance.
• Grant Howard, a former coal miner from Mackay, Queensland. Grant’s vision is for all of us, regardless of who we are — mine workers or any other industry workers in our communities — to work collectively towards a more sustainable future powered by clean energy.
• Spokespeople from Australian Parents for Climate Action, the Climate and Health Alliance, Climate for Change, and the Australian Conservation Foundation.

We’re ready to get behind solutions for a safe and healthy future for everyone and cut pollution this decade. We’re already taking steps to do our bit – recycling, reducing waste, getting our energy from cleaner sources.

Now our governments need to do their bit. Together we can show them what’s possible.
