The Matter of Water community forum

Water is the lifeblood of Murray Darling communities, and we need to know our politicians are aware and active on the issue of water and river health.

Healthy Rivers, Healthy Communities Mildura is providing local community members the opportunity to hear the latest research on how the Murray-Darling Basin Plan is affecting local communities and what position candidates are taking on the issue, as well as connect with like-minded people.

The forum will include:

• Maryanne Slattery, Senior Water Researcher at The Australia Institute will discuss her latest report on the impacts of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan.
• A Q&A session with candidates for the seat of Mildura, including Steve Timmis, Cate Milne, Tony Alessi, Ali Cupper and Peter Crisp.
• Stories from other local community members about the importance of healthy rivers and communities.

Please arrive at a 7:00pm for a 7:15pm start.
