Are you feeling the bushfire smoke? Tennis is also struggling. Now’s the time to do more on climate change. Let's all ask Tennis Australia’s leadership to speak up for climate action!
Our nation’s political leaders say they’re doing enough, but the bushfire and drought crisis suggests otherwise. The voice of sport, including tennis, is needed now, alongside fire chiefs and health professionals, to demand the Prime Minister do more to address the root causes of extreme weather: pollution from burning coal.
Tennis Australia is a huge institutions with massive political clout and lobbying muscle. They reach and represent millions of Australians from all walks of life.
If we all petition them, we can change the conversation and encourage them to stand up and speak out for climate action to protect people, homes, wildlife and tennis!
Let's ask Tennis Australia to:
1. Use their powerful voice:
- Speak up for national action by Australia's government and businesses to cut climate pollution
- Speak up for action to move Australia to 100% clean energy
- Rule out accepting sponsorship from coal, oil and gas companies
2. Back in clean energy:
- Make a commitment to transition Tennis Australia to use to 100% clean energy
- Support state & grassroots tennis clubs to go to 100% clean energy
3. Lead the way:
- Collaborate with tennis governing bodies around Australia and the world, to strengthen plans to make the sports a climate leader

There is a straight forward way to take Climate Action and it is to protect the forests we have and to plant more trees. The Federal Government has the chance to step up and take leadership on this critical issue, I demand that it does so and pressure from the likes of Tennis Australia will be a strong voice for action.
