Join us at the Sydney Sun Dance, a fun creative action to show our elected representatives the depth of community support for clean energy!

State and territory energy ministers soon will meet to decide whether to sign up to the Turnbull Government’s anti-clean energy plan – the National Energy Guarantee (NEG).

We need to demonstrate such huge community support for climate action and clean energy that our state and territory leaders stand up to the Prime Minister and stop the NEG in its current form.

That’s why we’re bringing together Sydneysiders for a spectacular “Sun Dance” in support of clean energy.

Dozens of people will arrange into the form of a rising sun holding LED-illuminated umbrellas. We’ll capture all the action using a drone then send footage to energy ministers before they decide whether to agree to the Turnbull Government’s anti-clean energy plan.

This event will bring together people from the ACF, Greenpeace, GetUp, Solar Citizens, 350 Australia and Australian Youth Climate Coalition communities.

Please join us for a practice run on Monday 6 August from 6-8pm at Broadway Outdoors Basketball Courts at 67 Francis St in Glebe 2037.

This event is independently hosted by our ally Greenpeace Australia Pacific.
