Let’s move Queensland out of the dirty energy past and into the clean energy future.

“I’m for a sun-powered Queensland. I want everyone, everywhere to be able to power their lives with clean energy."

Join the Sun-Powered Queensland campaign to call on the Queensland Government to:

  • Champion large-scale clean energy projects across our state
  • Make our renewable energy target law
  • Phase out coal and gas-fired power
  • Help people who work in affected industries and their communities prepare for jobs for the future

Are you in?

We’re called the sunshine state with good reason.

We have big open skies, not too many clouds and a big ball of energy that just shows up in the sky each day. In just six hours, it gives the world’s deserts more energy than all humans use in a year.

Powering our lives with energy from the sun and wind just makes sense. It doesn’t harm our climate, fuel coral bleaching or pollute our air and water. It’s affordable and good for our communities. It’ll create lots of good jobs in new industries with a big future. In fact, it already is.

But in Queensland right now, the Palaszczuk government doesn’t seem to get it. Our elected representatives are backing Adani’s giant polluting coal mine and dithering on clean energy. They're putting our climate, communities and reef at risk.

It’s an election year and Premier Palaszczuk needs to hear, loud and clear, we Queenslanders want clean energy, not coal.

Solar energy is a wonderful gift for mankind to access and directly improve the immediate environment around us. Let’s utilise nature’s gift and work towards saving the future. The establishment of solar farms will provide a large scale energy source, clear the air, create employment, help business and give us clean energy.

Sun not coal. Be smart and part of the 21st centuary. Look at the science and longevity rather than short term profit.
