Let’s move Queensland out of the dirty energy past and into the clean energy future.
Join the Sun-Powered Queensland campaign to call on the Queensland Government to:
Are you in?
We’re called the sunshine state with good reason.
We have big open skies and a giant ball of energy that just shows up in the sky each day. In just six hours, the sun gives the world’s deserts more energy than all humans use in a year.
Powering our lives with energy from the sun and wind just makes sense. It doesn’t harm our climate, fuel coral bleaching or pollute our air and water. It’s affordable and good for our communities. It’ll create lots of good jobs in new industries with a big future. In fact, it already is.
But in Queensland right now, the Palaszczuk Government is backing Adani’s polluting mega-mine. They're putting our climate, communities and reef at risk.
It’s an election year and Premier Palaszczuk will release her government's climate strategy in just a few weeks. She needs to hear, loud and clear, we Queenslanders want clean energy, not coal.
The sun-powered Queensland pledge is supported by 350, Australian Conservation Foundation, Australian Marine Conservation Society, Energetic Communities, GetUp, Queensland Conservation Council and Solar Citizens – and endorsed by many others.
