I’m extremely concerned about the climate and extinction crises – increasing devastation is alarming. Labor, stop the bulldozing of our bush and forests, and slash emissions now so we experience fewer floods, fires and droughts fuelled by climate change. We have the solutions, and they’re economically beneficial too!

Be the government, that we voted you in for, be big, be brave, do the right thing to help save this beautiful country, pass law that protects this amazing land, and start restoring that which has been damaged, because once it is lost it;s gone forever..

If your lungs weren’t working properly you’d consult a thoracic specialist about possible remediation measures. So when our climate is clearly deteriorating why don’t you consult a climate scientist? Prioritising short term fossil fuel profits over the long term habitability of our planet is utter madness. Please pull your collective heads out of the sand NOW. Before you know it, it will be too late.

When are our governments going to realise the value of nature? Hopefully before it’s too late!

Please uphold the promises made by Labor at the last election to strengthen laws to protect our dwindling biodiversity and actions to reduce climate change impacts. That means a better EPBC Act with a climate trigger in place ASAP and NO MORE COAL or GAS exploration. We have no more time to waste. LISTEN TO THE SCIENCE as you promised to do.

“As ateacher/gardener/author, I care deeply about wetlands, . Labor, please ensure strong new national laws that actually protect places like this, and start restoring that which has been damaged. Plus an independent regulator to enforce these laws! ”
“My hope for children of the future is that they live in a world which has clean water, climate stabiity, species diversity and rich soils. Labor, will you replace dirty fossils fuels like coal, gas and uranium with clean energy from the sun and the wind?”
“I’m concerned about the climate and extinction crises because I see species disappear and waters polluted. Labor, stop bulldozing our bush and forests, and slash emissions now so we experience fewer floods, fires and droughts fuelled by climate change.”

“I’m concerned about the climate and extinction crises.Labor, stop the bulldozing of our bush and forests, and slash emissions now so we experience fewer floods, fires and droughts fuelled by climate change. Please Stop approving more planet-damaging gas and mining, and providing subsidies to the fossil fuel industries. Also Please invest much more in social housing (not just fluctuating returns on investments) we need homes for our wildlife AND our people.

I am an 83-year-old. I have two young great-grandsons. I want them to trek the wilderness, hear the magpies, see the desert in bloom. Labor, put a stop to the logging of native forests and the destruction of our wet-lands.

Please value the fate of your fellow citizens more than donations from climate wreckers.

Please preserve natural habitat to help wildlife and prevent endangering more species. The transition to renewable energy must happen asap, thank you

Please protect the Australian environment – the iconic animals ,birds, mammals, marsupials sea life the list is expansive and the habitat that all depend on is so precious ! Be remembered for the protection of this Aussie Wonderland

Dear Labor Party, As a grandparent of 5, retired social worker working with children and young people and a long-time Labor voter I implore you to enact strong new national laws to protect our fragile environment.
We also need an independent regulator to enforce these important new laws.
Please stop the destruction of our bushland, forests and waterways so that our children and grandchildren can live in a healthy, thriving world. For this to happen we also need the habitat of our animals, birds and creatures to be protected. Protecting forests, bushland and waterways will also positively impact climate change and reduce cataclysmic events such as floods and fires.
I urge you to be strong and courageous and do the right thing for the benefit of us all.
Thank you so much for your efforts.

Please be adult enough to stop hiding behind the greenwashing. I am old enough to see that we need to REALLY care for our habitats. I am tired of politician speak. Listen to those who know.

Let’s try and improve our indigenous flora and fauna and manage the shutdown of the gas and coal sector.

As a Labour supporter and one who has travelled this country extensiely, I am expecting Labour to draft and enact much stronger environmental laws. Althogh economic considerations are important to government quite frankly there are issues above the the ecomomy and jobs – they are the protection of our priceless environments that sustain our unique Australian animals and plants.

We are so lucky to have such beautiful and unique wildlife and ecosystems in Australia, yet so much has already been lost or destroyed. Please protect and restore our remaining wild places, and ensure their long term survival by becoming true climate leaders.
Amy 2023-08-03 19:34:33 +1000
Please for the sake of all the living animals and tree. That have no voice
Vote to do the maximum. Be a world leader not a follower of business as usual!

Labor, please stop the destruction of our natural ecosystems and ditch polluting, climate-wrecking fossil fuels.
Action must be taken immediately to halt the climate and extinction crises!

As an open water swimmer, I am privileged to be able to experience the delights of nature first-hand at the marine reserve in Manly, Sydney. As a bush walker, I am lucky to be in nature with our amazing native flora and fauna. I want future generations to have access to the wonders I have observed in a long and lucky life. Please take action now to put an end to logging and to stop the production of carbon emitting energy. It has to be now.

YOU, Labor, have the power to give your (grand)children a cleaner and healthier world! YOU make the decisions. Decide For the environment, for a place where people can live without destruction of the world around them. Decide For life (renewables, reusables etc) and not for money (fossil fuels)
With Gratitude, Joke

Dear Government of our precious country ..just to let you know how much we value our unique land and all the flora and fauna in its large expanse..we have a unique opportunity to lead the world in showing how we can save our unique environment. All around the world the land is being ravaged by weather and human intervention to animal life ..if we take better care now we can protect the things that make our lives richer and make sure they are still here for our children and grandchildren to enjoy..

Yours sincerely
Janette O’Brien…

Please have the courage to make smart decisions that will sustain and regenerate a healthy vibrant environment for the natural world and our children and grandchildren’s future.

We are facing the most important time in the history of humanity. Through a continuing reliance on the burning of fossil fuels, a model of living based on an economy of continual growth, excessive consumption and human selfishness we are racing towards extinction. It is urgent to no longer close our eyes and minds to what we face. Time to slow down to stop the development of new coal and gas. It is folly to think that technology will save us. The environment matters. It is up to governments to wake up and do what is right for this planet Earth our only home. Humans have caused this headlong race to extinction and we in Australia are no exception. Anthropogenic climate change is real and we have been major contributors living on the windfall profits of exploiting and exporting our natural resources. We also lead the way in fauna and flora destruction which in itself epitomises our attitude to the natural world. Wake up and see what we have done. Change now because if we don’t there will be no future for our grandchildren and beyond. Capitalism as the driver of our economy has failed to produce a balanced and homeostatic environment. The natural world is unable to achieve balance if we continue this headlong race to oblivion.

Dear Labor – wishing you the strength and courage to protect our damaged environment at this critical time for the future of humanity and life on earth.

As a passionate country full of energetic, forward thinking , nature-appreciating people, we should be apble to unite and support sustainable energy and a carbon-lite future. WE can shine on the world stage and lead the way, and we need YOU, our leaders, to help take us there. Make the brave and decisive choice to turn away from coal and gas, and embrace and support the scientists and innovators who have already created the technology that will deliver. it’s time🙏!
