Seaweed (seagrass) restoration project

ACF Adelaide Community Group is participating in the Seeds for Snapper seagrass restoration project, run by OzFish, based out of the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia (CYCSA), North Haven.

The project is ongoing from December 2021 - January 2022, until quality seagrass fruit (seeds) stop washing up on the Adelaide coastal shoreline.

When seeds wash on the shoreline and volunteers are collecting on the beach you will receive a last-minute text messaging inviting your participation.

There may also be opportunities to sort seeds, and even go sailing to drop the hessian bags with seeds out into the designated restoration areas.

It's a great summer activity, and we're helping restore our marine environment.
