Climate damage is here now yet billionaire polluters are lining up to dig and burn more coal. Coal corporation Adani want to dig one of the world’s biggest coal mines in Queensland.

But people don't want this mine. If the mine goes ahead it would create billions of tonnes of pollution, wreck our climate and spell the end for our Great Barrier Reef.

The Australian Conservation Foundation community challenged the federal government's approval of the mine in court. But our laws can’t stop the government from approving Australia’s biggest coal mine, even as the reef dies before our eyes.

Governments have a responsibility to create a future where our reef, communities and wildlife all thrive.

Federal Environment Minister, Melissa Price has the power to stop this mine. And our future depends on it. It's critical she hears from everyone who cares that we want our beautiful reef, not more polluting coal.

Sign the petition to tell the Federal Minister for Environment, Melissa Price to:

Reject Adani’s Carmichael coal mine and create strong new laws to protect our Great Barrier Reef.

Please realize what a unique and important environment the Great Barrier Reef is. Not even to mention the iconic connotation with Australia as a country of natural wonders for visitors to explore.
Do not put this natural and highly endangered wonder at further and extreme risk for immediate profit.
Not only the reef environment itself, Australia itself will suffer a devastating loss-added to which will be the shame of knowing that Australia’s government is responsible for destroying one of the few remaining natural wonders on this planet.

It’s madness that the government can legally approve the biggest coal mine in Australia’s history when pollution is killing our reef.

This is just madness. Coal is dead, but the reef isn’t, not yet. Please save the reef! It is so important to do so on so many levels. Approving this coal mine should be criminal.
