Climate damage is here now yet billionaire polluters are lining up to dig and burn more coal. Coal corporation Adani want to dig one of the world’s biggest coal mines in Queensland.

But people don't want this mine. If the mine goes ahead it would create billions of tonnes of pollution, wreck our climate and spell the end for our Great Barrier Reef.

The Australian Conservation Foundation community challenged the federal government's approval of the mine in court. But our laws can’t stop the government from approving Australia’s biggest coal mine, even as the reef dies before our eyes.

Governments have a responsibility to create a future where our reef, communities and wildlife all thrive.

Federal Environment Minister, Melissa Price has the power to stop this mine. And our future depends on it. It's critical she hears from everyone who cares that we want our beautiful reef, not more polluting coal.

Sign the petition to tell the Federal Minister for Environment, Melissa Price to:

Reject Adani’s Carmichael coal mine and create strong new laws to protect our Great Barrier Reef.

Coal is the past. The world is moving on. Time to look to the future. And that future is going to be bleak if we keep trying to squeeze every last dollar out of coal.

I’ve never seen the Barrier Reef and quite frankly I’m frightened that I never will. It’s being destroyed at such a rapid rate, if nothing is done to protect our heritage soon then it will be gone and future generations will be poorer for this.

Which part of “You have just signed the death warrant for the Reef” do you not understand? All in the name of the almighty dollar. How can you sleep at night?

It would be a shame to tell the future generations that we destroyed a beautiful reef for temporary money. It’s simply wrong. As the new environmental minister, please take a proper stand for the environment. Please do not be blinded by money.
