Join ACF, ACF Community Bayside, Birdlife and the Toondah Alliance at the Rally for Toondah outside Labor’s National Conference. This conference is the Labor Party’s highest decision-making forum and this is the first time it’s been held in Queensland since the 1970s!
By having a colourful, fun and positive rally outside the conference, we can show delegates why they should vote for their party to take action and save the places we love – like the Toondah Harbour wetlands.
Here’s what to expect at the rally:
- Connect with delegates and our wider Queensland community through colourful & fun actions; listen to the Riff Raff band; and join catchy chants for change.
- Meet Beako, the giant Eastern Curlew puppet, along with baby Bikos – and get your photo taken with them.
- Hear from special speakers – we’re busy organising a great lineup at the moment.
After you've RSVP'd we'll email you some posters and flyers to help encourage more people to come along. And even if you can't attend yourself, feel free to put up some posters or flyers to encourage others to attend!
This rally will be a safe space for all and you will be made to feel very welcome. So whether you are coming alone or with friends & family, we promise you a good time while we call for change together.
Rally for Toondah will be a peaceful, family friendly gathering, and you can stay for as long or as short as you like. We will also have a social gathering after the rally, with refreshments and a time to relax.
