Queensland Parliament: No handouts for Adani!

9 AM this Thursday – wear white and bring your voice to Queensland Parliament!

Before June, the Federal government could announce a $1 billion loan of public money for Adani's polluting megamine. The Queensland government need to endorse the loan before Adani can receive it. The Queensland government has a choice, they can reject the loan and decide not to give your money to Adani. On top of failing to veto the $1billion NAIF loan, last week it was reported that state Labor were planning a deal to give Adani a royalty holiday. This would mean free water, free money, and now free coal for Adani.

Queenslanders including the ACF community took to the streets and jumped on their phones to voice their opposition to yet another handout. The outrage caused Labor to deny any deal had been made. But this week, Adani announced they had deferred their financial investment decision until they have a royalties announcement from the Queensland Government. Adani are trying to hold our government to ransom and we cannot allow them to give in.

We need to keep the pressure on!
