Mondo, ACF AWR and RAW Energy, are pleased to invite you to learn more about the first-ever distributed energy marketplace project.
Matthew Charles Jones from Mondo will present Project Edge. Project EDGE enables Solar PV and Batteries to be shared for the benefit of both the owner and the Network. It will also assist in the transition to 100% renewable electricity.
In some parts of Australia, Solar PV, in conjunction with Wind generators, can occasionally generate more power than there is demand for. To be able to increase the amount of Renewable Energy in the grid we need to be able to soak up the excess power created by new Solar PV in the few hours either side of midday. If this storage is behind the meter, i.e., in domestic or commercial premises, we can reduce the need for network upgrades and it will be Australian owned. The Mondo Edge project is a way of aggregating the energy from these individual power sources (Solar PV and storage) to act as a single energy source.
*Please note, to attend this event at the German-Austrian Australian Club you will need to show proof of vaccination upon arrival.
