This year, Malvern ACF are trying a new area for our popular platypus spotting activities.
Corhanwarrbul/Monbulk Creek joins Dandenong Creek at the wetlands neighbouring Mulgrave Reserve in Wheelers Hill. Monbulk Creek is a known platypus habitat, with sightings regularly recorded upstream in Tecoma and Birdlands Reserve. Could there be any further downstream? Come join us to help in the fun of finding out.
We will meet by the Football Club at Mulgrave Reserve between 5:00-5:30pm. After an introduction and briefing, we will make our way to various observation sites and keep a lookout for 20-30 minutes each side of sunset (which will be about 6:15pm)
We may or may not see any platypus, but there are plenty of other things to see, and it is rumoured there will be cake.
We hope to see you there!
