After you RSVP you'll be sent a confirmation email with the Zoom link.

Across the country, hundreds of us in the ACF Community are preparing to drop-in on our Members of Parliament (MPs). Our message is: speak up on World Environment Day (Monday 5 June) for strong nature laws that stop the destruction of forests, wetlands and wildlife.

To get ready to visit your MP, come along to our online crafternoon.

You might use this time to write a letter about why you care about protecting nature, create a drawing of nature you love, or brainstorm local plants you could give your MP for their office. Your message or gift will be a powerful visual reminder to them that their community wants them to act for strong nature laws now.

Join the online crafternoon where we will:

  • Run through the three simple steps to making your visit fun and impactful
  • Have some solo time to write or make something to leave with your MP (check the how-to guide for inspiration, or ask others for their ideas while we’re online together)
  • Have time for a Q&A where you can ask any questions you may have about this activity, or share great ideas with one another.

This will be an informal event, so you’re welcome to join for the full hour or just drop in briefly to say hi, share your idea for what you'll be leaving with your MP, or ask the ACF Community and Mobilisation Team any questions you have about this activity.

This event will start at:

  • 3.30pm in Tasmania, Victoria, Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Queensland
  • 3pm in South Australia and Northern Territory
  • 1.30pm in Western Australia
