Numbats have stolen our hearts! These adorable marsupials sleep in hollow fallen logs or burrows and eat 20,000 termites a day with their long sticky tongues. They don’t drink water – termites keep them hydrated.
Numbat families used to live from Victoria to WA, but because of habitat destruction, foxes and cats, now they cling to existence in just two places in the wild.

Landclearing and habitat destruction is an international disgrace. We need to do something now before nothing’s left
Please reclaim and protect our unique wildlife heritage, once it’s gone, it’s gone for good. Please don’t bow down to those who’s god is money and who do not care for anything else but to line their own pockets over the dead bodies of our wildlife and fauna. Please don’t burden your own conscience by aligning your self with these greedy people. Please stand up for wildlife that can’t stand up for themselves. Please help to keep our unique Australian heritage alive also for future generations.
How can we possibly allow any of our native animals to go extinct. We need stronger national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love. Please raise this with your party leader.
If I have to tell you why this needs to be addressed…you should be in office!
Australia needs to act now to protect the remaining wildlife that we have. Australia has the worst reputation of species extinction. It is a pity that more value is not placed on our wildlife. Time to change
I am so sad to see the loss I so many beautiful Australian species! I was saddened to read specifically about how endangered numbats have become! Why do we not allow the keeping of Australian wildlife as pets rather than encouraging the keeping of destructive spices such as cats??!! If we could all keep a few numbats as pets and if they got out, it wouldn’t matter and would help spread the load of saving these amazing species!!
Strong environment laws are required to protect native reptiles, aquatic animals and small mammals from irresponsible pet owners, who fail to sterilise their cats (or dogs), who fail to ensure they cannot wander into bushland, and who fail to ensure their pets are locked up securely at night. Native animals also need the highest protection from developers, who, with government support, clear land and necessary ecosystems without any thought of the creatures who rely on that environment for their safety and longevity. The vast clearing of natural bushland or scrubland for mining or farming also falls within this category. The government is failing badly in its DUTY to ensure a safe and protected environment for all native animals.

The fact that every man, woman and child in Australia is not aware of the plight of the numbat is a TRAVESTY.
We need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love!

Please raise this with your party leader and help save the Numbat from extinction!
We need stronger environmental laws to protect our native wildlife from extinction. With numbers getting drastically low something needs to be done before it’s too late.
It’s our duty to preserve natural assets for future generations.
Please protect Australia’s wildlife!
Our native species are disappearing faster than in any other continent. We need more effort made to deal with invasive predators & havens to protect these critically endangered species.
The environment houses all our resources no environment no resources
Too many of our native fauna are endangered. It really is ridiculous that a wealthy country like Australia can’t protect our native fauna for future generations
We have so many unique creatures in Australia – you must do everything in your power to protect them from extinction
Get rid of feral cats and increase regulation of domestic cats.
Its time to stand up and protect the other species that have a right to live on and enrich this Earth. Do the right thing and be part of the solution and the shameful one who pushes the numbat, koalas and others onto the road to extinction
I’m sick to death of land clearing, trees being felled and animals being displaced with no thought as to their welfare or where they will find a new home

We need stronger environmental laws because these animals all deserve a place in our once beautiful but now less so, country.
We are losing too many species, this is wrong. and stronger protection laws need to be in place. Please take more interest and care of our environment, not just $$$
