In November, we'll join with Regen Brisbane and others as part of Global Donut Days 2024 to explore how Doughnut Economics is relevant to our group and our region.
Doughnut Economics sets a high goal: to meet the needs of all people within the means of the planet.
We will start with this video with Kate Raworth giving an overview of Doughnut Economics
and then ask the question:
How might we encourage politicians, planners, developers, communities, and other key stakeholders to have better conversations (and thereby deliver better solutions) when it comes to housing, transport, urban biodiversity and all the interlinked issues? ie How might we stay within the doughnut in the greater Brisbane region.
And see what opportunities we can uncover when we combine our diverse experience, knowledge, skills and other assets.
It’s the week after the state election so there will be a lot of people asking what do we do now? Let’s do what we can to make that a better conversation.
To find out more about Doughnut Economics, see the Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) website
Registration is essential for insurance and catering purposes. Yes, there will be doughnuts!
