Queenslanders are active citizens and together, we can define the future of our state.

The coal industry is already collapsing, and people in coal communities are feeling left behind. More and more young people have to move out of the regions and into the city just to find a job.

As a state, we have the potential to plan and prepare communities for the inevitable transition from coal to clean energy.

We know that it is possible to create new jobs that are good for communities and our planet! Jobs working in clean electricity, water, construction and health. Jobs improving the energy efficiency of buildings, building better public transport and improving our towns and cities.

That’s why we’re kicking off a campaign to build renewable energy projects that are owned and operated by us — not by private companies.

Come along to hear the plan and get involved!

This event is being run in collaboration with our friends and allies at the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, Queensland Conservation Council and Solar Citizens.
