Come along to the screening of Frackman, a film like no other.

About the Event:

Frackman aims to spark a broad national conversation about coal seam gas development. Five years in the making, it not only entertains and engages, it also gives audiences the tools to get involved.

This is a film about ordinary people caught up in a modern day multinational "gas rush" to secure and exploit coal seam gas. Accidental activist Dayne 'The Frackman' Pratzky was building a simple home on his property, until the gas company arrived, demanding to install wells. So began his transformation from knockabout pig-shooter to passionate activist, and a David and Goliath battle against a $70 billion industry. Along the way he finds love, tragedy and triumph - and a few laughs.

The film is followed by our guest speaker, Ellie Smith from Lock the Gate, a national grassroots organisation made up of over 120,000 supporters and more than 450 local groups who are concerned about risky coal mining, coal seam gas and fracking.

This is a fundraising event for ACF Community Bayside with all proceeds going towards funding local environmental initiatives.

Come along and connect with like minded people - everyone is welcome to attend!

Food and drinks available from the bar. Tickets are limited and cost is $10.
