The politicians elected to represent us are trying to ignore the huge movement of Australians who want to #StopAdani.
So, we're going to spell it out for them.
Join us for a big day of action on Saturday 7 October to spell out #StopAdani with a giant human sign!
Across the country thousands of people will be forming huge #StopAdani human signs so big they can’t be ignored. Will you join us to create a human sign in Melbourne so big it can’t be ignored?
Date: Saturday, October 7
Time: 12-3pm
Venue: Princes Park, Royal Parade, Carlton North (Google Map pin here). The event is on Lawn 5. It is behind Ikon Oval if you're walking towards Brunswick away from the city.
Dress: Wear scuba gear, dress up as your favourite reef creature or wear bright colours for the reef.
Bring: A picnic, your family (kids welcome!), friends, pets and a footy. And don't forget water, sunscreen and a hat!
What to expect: A fun, festival atmosphere with picnicking, music, singing, face-painting, sculpture-making, a giant human sign and in true Melbourne style, a bit of footy fun!
Transport: The tram number 19 stops right outside. If you're driving, you might be able to snag a park nearby otherwise try the Barkly Square shopping centre car park. It's free and only a short walk away.
Let's kick some goals for the reef and Stop Adani!
Together, we can stop this mine and create a better world, powered by clean energy, where our reefs and communities thrive.
