Join ACF, Birdlife, The Wilderness Society, The Nature Conservation Council of NSW, and all nature-lovers across Sydney for a big, powerful and inspiring March for Nature.

Everywhere you look, nature is at breaking point. Bulldozers raging in our forests. Frackers and miners destroying wild places. Animals and plants pushed to extinction.

Let’s show the community wants real action as the Albanese Government prepares to host global leaders for the Nature Positive Summit in Sydney.

It’s our big moment to turn out an enormous crowd for the nature we love. With the spotlight and cameras on Australian governments and business – let’s demand that the destruction of our forests, rivers, and wildlife stops.

Stop bulldozing the bush. End the extinction crisis. No more approvals for nature-wrecking coal and gas!

The details:

Momentum is building towards a big, colourful and powerful march:

  • We’ll meet at Speakers Corner, the Domain, where speakers will welcome the crowd and explain what’s at stake for nature and wildlife right now.
  • The march will consist of a short, 1.3km walk to Mrs Macquarie's Chair (Botanic Gardens). Snuff Puppets will bring larger-than-life native animal creations to the march.
  • The march will be followed by activities for people of all ages and families, including a sustainable animal sculpture making workshop led by artist Al Phemister.
  • There’ll be stalls run by conservation and climate groups.
  • Food will be available thanks to the catering from social enterprise Parliament on King, plus an ice cream van!

Feel free to get creative and bring signs, props and costumes that highlight the nature and wildlife you want protected. If that's not for you, simply bring yourself!

The March for Nature is for people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. We strive to make this event as accessible as we can. If you have any accessibility questions, please get in contact with [email protected].
