Every five years, the Australian government publishes a report written by independent experts on the state of our environment. It's when we find out how healthy – or sick – our wildlife, forests, rivers, oceans, and communities really are.
The (long overdue) 2021 State of the Environment report will be published on Tuesday 19 July – and we’re expecting bad news.
With our wildlife, forests, rivers, oceans and communities under more pressure than ever, we can use the release of this report as a moment to highlight the twin climate and extinction crises – and call for swift, bold action.
Sign up to write a letter to the editor of your chosen newspaper and help keep this issue in the spotlight, right when politicians are preparing for the first sitting days of the new parliament.
You’ll receive an email and/or SMS alert when the report is published, plus talking points and heaps of resources to help you write a punchy and compelling letter.
