National Forest Uprising – Canberra

Join The Forest Embassy and grass roots organisations from across Australia as we unite in one voice to insist on protection for native forests as part of the National Forest Uprising. The Forest Embassy is organising a Canberra Rally which will be held on the lawns of Parliament House Canberra, on Wednesday 13 February 2019.

• Formal proceedings and media from 12-1pm
• Events continue afterwards including a one off performance by The Lone Band

Guest speakers include:

• Janet Rice – Greens Senator
• Peter Robertson – National Campaign Manager The Wilderness Society
• Prof. Don White – Chairperson Nature Conservation Council NSW

A: YES. This is the major event for the #NationalForestUprising which is part of a rolling campaign of national events. Please check the Forest Embassy website for more events or to list an event in your state.

A: Contact The Forest Embassy – we may be able to connect you to people who are going, however your best bet is to put the call out on local community groups are there are people coming from all over Australia.
