We would love for Inner West ACF members, their families, friends & anyone interested in bats  & a walk in the bush to come along on this journey.

The discussion will introduce the bats of the local area as well as info about bats of NSW and more globally, and then we will be as quiet as possible as we do a 10 minute trek into the bush at Wolli Creek Reserve to watch the Grey-Headed Flying Fox bats.

The Bat chat will be led by Inner West ACF group member Sarah Kienker, a keen conservationist, marine scientist and project manager with National Parks and Wildlife Services.

Bring binoculars, maybe a walking stick, walking shoes with good grip and water.

If you wish to make a picnic of the outing please bring some food & drinks. There is a playground & tables & chairs which are sheltered by trees where we can sit, chat & get to know each other.

How to find meeting place.

If coming by train, Turella Station is your closest station. It is a 3 minute walk down Henderson St. At the end of Henderson St  is the start of the Turrella Track. We meet at 10am on the bridge over Wolli Creek .
