Info Session on Climate Conversation SA #3

From July to October 2023, South Australians across the State are invited to engage in 'Community Climate Conversations' to talk about what actions should be taken and what support is needed to make them happen.

Anyone can participate in these meaningful conversations.  They can involve a community group, workplace, sporting club, book group, faith group, service club or even a gathering of family and friends. People of all backgrounds, ages, cultures, experiences and perspectives are welcome to share what they think and want.

At the end of the conversation, everyone's insights will be gathered into a report. The  South Australian Government is looking forward to receiving this report, to inform its new climate policy.   

The more voices and the wider the representation, the more confident and willing the Government will be to take bold action.

How can I be part of it?

• Host a Climate Conversation: It's easy - all you have to do is organise a gathering of people you know—for example friends, workmates, family, neighbours—for about two to three hours of discussion. SACA (South Australians for Climate Action) will provide you with all kinds of support, including an online briefing and Q&A if desired, and a Host Kit and Conversation Guide.
• Participate in a Climate Conversation: SACA will connect you with a local Host so you can join a conversation group being organised in your area.
• Be a Climate Conversation champion: Volunteer to help SACA organise as many conversations as possible. The more people that participate, the stronger the voice for serious action.
