Australia is one of the most biodiverse countries on the planet, but there’s still so much we don’t know about the plants and animals living among us!

ACF’s #NatureNearYou project on iNaturalist is an ongoing citizen science initiative being driven by our supporters and community groups. Each project is helping us learn more about the nature near you so we can understand and protect it.

We can build upon our curiosity of local nature to help connect with nature and each other. It’s empowering to understand more about the nature near you. Together we can keep building a huge people-powered movement for nature, while also taking action to better understand and protect Australia’s amazing biodiversity.

Come along and learn how you can take part in the #NatureNearYou project.

ACF Nature campaigner Carmen Smith and community organisers Maggie Riddington and Michael Pulsford will cover:

  • How and why ACF is using citizen science projects to build a people-powered movement for nature in Australia
  • How your group can use iNaturalist and citizen science to reach new people
  • How to create a local project sitting under the ACF #NatureNearYou project on iNaturalist
  • Troubleshooting & tips to get the most out of using iNaturalist
  • Q&A from attendees & breakout rooms to help you get the most out of your webinar experience

RSVP here to receive Zoom details and we’ll see you on Wednesday 18 November to learn more.
