Each month, our community organising team holds a national webinar to help you join or start an ACF Community group. Come along as an individual (or call in with others from your area!) to find out what being part of a local group is all about, ACFs vision and change strategy, and the support we can offer you to make it happen in your community. Find the next webinar date!
Who do you know in your local area who shares your values? You can approach anyone! Friends, family, neighbours. Once you have three or more people, find a date that suits you to meet up. Then get in touch at [email protected] and we'll pass on tips and resources for holding your first meeting.
Feel isolated and unsure who to reach out to? In some cases we can connect you up with other supporters we know who might live right around the corner from you. Get in touch at [email protected] if you'd like to explore this.
Use this first meeting agenda to get to know one another and decide whether you want to become an ACF Community group. This worksheet guides you developing your first group agreements on how to work together.
You decided together that you want to form a group? That's great! Register your group here. A community organiser, who will be your point person from ACF, will be in touch to set up a time for a chat to take things to the next level.
"We held our first meeting ... I thought we might get three or four people, but 22 turned up. Three years later we have a large, vibrant group of 120 people working on local issues and national campaigns."
