Radioactive waste lasts thousands of years and is a risk to the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the soil we grow our food in.

Our allies in South Australia are hosting an online candidates forum to discuss the federal government’s plan to establish a nuclear waste dump and store near Kimba on the Eyre Peninsula.

RSVP now to receive the link to join the online forum via Zoom!

Together, we can show candidates that the community wants our elected representatives to step up and start to manage this difficult issue responsibly.

This will be a moderated discussion with candidates running in the electorate of Grey that takes a cool look at this hot issue – for the Kimba community and communities across South Australia and our nation.

This is an independent event hosted by our allies at the Conservation Council of South Australia (CCSA), and No Radioactive Waste on Agricultural Land in Kimba or SA (the formal group of local residents, farmers and business owners opposed to building a radioactive waste facility on prime farming land in Kimba).
