Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_web_GreaterGlider.jpg

Greater gliders are pretty extraordinary.

These peaceful possums live in leaf-lined hollows and spend their nights foraging high up in the forest canopies. They can glide 100 meters between trees!

But over decades, armies of bulldozers have charged through our forests, knocking down their homes. This must stop.

How precious, unique and sscred is this adorable little creature.
Earn your money as a custodian and SAVE IT NOW from extinction which means FOREVER. Over political incompetence.

What a cute guy.
Would you kill one yourself? Of course not, but that’s what political inaction is doing to these little guys.
We need stronger environmental laws to protect these endangered species. They are as important as any one of us.

Forest and land clearing in the name of “development” is seriously impacting endangered species, such as the greater glider. Please urgently put in place protection for this species.

Dear Mr Lesser
MP for Berowra
I am writing to you about the environmental laws in Australia. They are not strong enough to protect our beautiful and unique flora and fauna.
Greater Gliders are just one of the many threatened and vulnerable species. The Greater Glider is now vulnerable because their habitat is being destroyed by land clearing. Our laws need to protect precious habitat. Please bring these urgent matters to Cabinet and strengthen the laws to protect them.

Please protect Australia’s native forests, bushlands, grasslands, marsh, mangrove and waterways, so their ecosystems and habitats for all the creatures and plants living within them.

Sarah, as you well know, the ONLY species on this planet which is not vulnerable is Homo sapiens. All other forms of life are at risk because we believe that we are greater than they. This is simply not so, indeed, we are, if anything, much less important. The Greater Glider is a classic example of our disregard for anything which might come between us and cash – in this case the cash which comes from felling their homes. We must not do this, but, as ordinary citizens, we do not have the authority to oversee the changes to legislation which are necessary to prevent these magnificent possums from becoming extinct. You do, and, as an elector, I earnestly request that you do so, and do so quickly.

These creatures life and welfare is more important than timber and coal and gas – find another way to make a buck that doesn’t pillage our precious environment.

Extinction means forever. No more. Your children and grandchildren have NO chance of ever seeing this in the wild once it’s extinct

Once it’s gone we can’t get it back. Not a great legacy to leave behind and nothing to be proud of.

It is the essence of Australia. The Australian bush is like no other. Don’t make the same mistake other countries have by logging their forests. Look at what they are like now.

It worries me that we have lost so much wildlife – we can’t keep destroying nature. Every creature is here for a reason and if we don’t look after it, it will affect our lives in the long term – we all depend on each other, animals, floral and humans
