Join local ACF Community Bayside for a relaxed and social tour around the The Alexandra Hills Greater Glider Conservation Area.

We're excited to be joined by Greg Hannam who will be leading the walk and sharing his expertise on the local flora and fauna. 30 years ago, Greg was the first person to find the Greater Glider in the area and bring it to the attention of council. Further attempts to develop the area were thwarted by Greg and others and the area was finally saved as a reserve. Greg's local knowledge and experience in advocating for this wonderful place are sure to make for a fascinating walk!

The guided tour will take approximately 45 minutes, before we share a picnic and a chat. This is a great to meet like-minded people and share your love for nature and our community.

Please bring:

  • Bring a plate to share for lunch
  • Your hat and suncscreen
We will supply the plates and cutlery. There is a cricket pitch and basket ball hoop nearby for those that want a bit more action after lunch!

Please RSVP so we have your details and can contact you if its raining and need to change plans!

All welcome - See you there!

ACF Community Bayside is part of a network of independently organised, volunteer-run groups in the ACF community. ACF will pass on your contact details to the host for the purpose of running the event.
