At the next meeting of CCL Oatley on Sunday 12 May we welcome guest speaker Daniela Ramirez, Senior Sustainability Officer at Georges River Council. She will talk to us about the Council’s efforts to reduce its operational carbon footprint and how Council is contributing to developing the Metropolitan Sydney Environmental Footprint as part of the strategy Resilient Sydney. She will also discuss Council’s plan to work towards the recently released NSW Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Plan in terms of the uptake of electric vehicles and the supply of charging points for them.
Daniela has 15 years’ experience working in sustainability and carbon management. Before taking up the position with Georges River Council she spent 12 years working for the New Zealand Government, first in the Crown Research Institute Landcare Research and more recently for Christchurch City Council.
