Meeting:
In Oatley, we meet once a month on the second Sunday of the month. Join us for a light lunch from 1:15 pm (look for the Citizens' Climate Lobby T-shirts) and/or attend the meeting starting 2:30 pm. We show films, present talks, and discuss methods of getting political will.
More detail:
These methods include jointly writing letters to the press, and following a well researched method of lobbying politicians.
We have resources from Australia and USA and are open to any ideas for raising political will in the population at large.
Citizens' Climate Lobby is an international organisation established 2007 in USA and 2014 in Australia. So far there are more than 60,000 members worldwide and 500 in Australia. Members of the advisory board include James Hansen, Katharine Hayhoe and George Shultz.
In all Australian states there are meetings with each other, with politicians at all levels of government, and with community leaders; and twice a year we organise two days of lobbying federal politicians in Canberra.
