City branch of Citizens Climate Lobby’s next regular monthly meeting will be at 7 pm on Tuesday 24 July in a room advertised on notice near lift in foyer, Sydney Mechanics School of Arts (SMSA), 280 Pitt St Sydney. SMSA is near Town Hall Station, on east side between Park and Bathurst streets, next to Chemist Max. smsa.org.au
From 6 pm you are all welcome to join us for a light meal at Cellini's Restaurant and Bar, Shop 46-48, Level 2, opposite Hobbyco, south end of Queen Victoria Building - look for the Citizens' Climate Lobby T-shirts.
At the meeting, Risk engineer Peter Todd will explain small scale Pump Hydro / Solar and Wind (distinct from Snowy 2.0) similar to that espoused by renowned renewables expert ANU Professor Andrew Blakers.
If time permits, and for light relief, we may also show a short film - either an episode of of “Years of Living Dangerously” or an amusing instructional video - and discuss progress with raising awareness of the seriousness and urgency of action on Climate Disruption.
Methods used are writing to the press and following well-thought-out strategies for meetings with community leaders and politicians. The meetings are fun: they stimulate us to think of ideas and to act.
See you there!
Brian
