On the first day of Queensland Parliament for 2018, join us to make some noise to #StopAdani.

Last November our community showed its power and made stopping Adani’s polluting mega-mine a major issue in the Queensland election. And just days before voting, Premier Palaszczuk promised, “Let me make it very clear, there are no taxpayer funds going to the Adani mine."

But while the new Queensland Government have vetoed the NAIF loan for Adani, they have not confirmed that they will also veto Aurizon’s application for hundreds of millions of dollars to build its own coal rail line that will service Adani’s mine.

We must tell Premier Palaszczuk: “Keep your promise of no public funds to Adani’s dangerous mine: rule out the Aurizon loan!”

Bring out your pots and pans and your noisemakers as we take part in a special “cacerolazo” (a traditional Spanish noise protest!) to make sure our elected leaders hear us loud and clear — we aren’t going away until Adani is stopped once and for all!

WHAT: A noise protest to #StopAdani on day one of Queensland Parliament
WHEN: Tuesday 13 February from 8.45-9.00am
WHERE: Outside State Parliament, George St, Brisbane
BRING: Your friends, pots and pans to bang on, whistles, instruments — whatever you can muster to make sure the politicians hear us loud and clear.
WEAR: #StopAdani red!
