Camp Hill, QLD: Family hike 🌳 and koala spotting 🐨

Do you love spending time in nature with your family? If you're a parent or carer, we have some exciting news to share with you!

We're thrilled to announce the launch of ACF's first parents group, Brisbane Parents Who Like to Hike. This isn’t your typical parents group. Our aim is to connect Brisbane area parents and carers who like to hike with their children and want to explore the natural beauty around Brisbane.

We’ll have a gentle walk through the reserve and hopefully spot wild koalas in their natural habitat. We’re delighted to say that we've spotted koalas every morning we've walked around Whites Hill Reserve so far. 🐨

We’ll be there with our 20-month-old on Saturday 29 April. Come join us!

Some parts of the trail are not pram-friendly, so if you're bringing a baby, we recommend bringing a baby carrier.

We'll meet outside the children's playground at Whites Hill Reserve opposite the touch football clubhouse. You can enter the Reserve via the lights at Boundary Rd, Camp Hill.

We want to make our hikes welcoming and inclusive for all carers. Here’s what to expect.

• All carers are welcome
  • We welcome all mums, dads, partners, step-parents, foster parents, carers and friends.
• No family left behind
  • We know hiking with children can bring unique challenges. If you need to stop to change a nappy or to feed, no worries. We’ll stop and take a break.
• Welcome circle introductions
  • Our hikes begin with a Welcome Circle, where we introduce ourselves and our families and set the intention for our time together.

We'll also bring some light snacks to share for morning tea.
