Community Web Training - Facilitating Online Meetings

It is important that we stay connected as a community during these challenging and uncertain times. 

That's why we are inviting you to join our training session on facilitating online meetings.

We will explore and demonstrate useful tools and techniques that you can use to facilitate engaging and inclusive virtual meetings. With these skills we can continue our important work of changing the story, building people power and fixing the system.

What will we cover in the training?

This training is broken into two sections:
Section 1: The Basics (approx 1 hour)

• How to create, edit and start your meeting
• Host functions and buttons
• Facilitating great meetings in a digital space - how to create a great vibe and encouraging participation

[Short break]

Section 2: Advanced (approx 30 mins)

• How to share your screen
• Setting up and managing breakout rooms

Who is this training for?

If you plan to host a meeting, training or get-together online - this meeting is for you. We’ll go through the mechanics of hosting your own Zoom calls and how to take your in-person facilitation skills into a digital space. This training is suitable for absolute beginners and intermediates alike, and there’s even a bonus advanced section for those of you who are curious and confident about Zoom features.
