It is important that we stay connected as a community during these challenging and uncertain times.

That's why we are inviting you to join our training session on how to use the basics of Slack to grow your community group.

Slack is a great tool that allows our community group members to talk in real time. You'll be able to connect with your group, with other groups across the country and with ACF staff. Lots of ACF groups already use Slack, join this call to find out how to make the most of this tool.

This training is intended for:

  • Those who haven't used Slack at all and would like to start using it.
  • Those who have used Slack but need a refresher.

This training will cover the following:

Starting with Slack

  • Downloading, installing and logging into Slack
  • Workspace
  • Permission level, naming conventions

 Slack features

  • How we communicate: Channels, Direct Message (DM), Threads and Mentions

We will also give a live demonstration of how to use Slack and allow you to have a go as well!

After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

The webinar starts at 6.30 pm AEDT – so that's 6.30 pm in ACT, NSW, TAS and VIC, QLD; 6 pm in SA;  6 pm in the NT; and 4.30 pm in WA.

See you there!
