Facebook and other social media provide us with valuable opportunities to build the movement, meet others in the community, and support each other as we invite our concerned friends and family to raise their voices. We currently use social media groups where we engage. The more we can do with Facebook, Instagram and other social media the more amplified our voice will be.

This webinar will explore ways in which we can utilise social media to reach our concerned friends, family and neighbours.

You will learn the techniques, opportunities and best practices in social media use, share experiences and get an update on the latest developments in the ACF’s social media.

Here's what to expect:

  • Techniques and Tricks. Join guest speakers Matty Agius and Tshireletso Motlogelwa from ACF’s Social Media team as they explore the most effective way to deploy social media to widen our reach and amplify our voice. Hone your skills alongside others in the community, as we explore tips and tricks for social media use. Learn how you can use social media to support our nationwide campaigns in your local area.
  • Group Moderator experiences. Share experiences with other moderators from across AFC community group moderator teams. Problem solve with real life examples from fellow moderators.
  • Put your skills to use! Parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, colleagues.... catch up with the people that matter to you, then invite them to raise their voices along with thousands of others around the country. We'll have handy resources available to support your conversations.

There'll be a live demonstration of how to use social media and you'll have a chance to have a go as well!

Who is this briefing for?

  • Community group social media moderators
  • Community group members active in coordinating their social media
