Diversity, inclusion and equity matter for building people power that create change.

Whether it is addressing the climate crisis or stopping the destruction of nature, it is important that people with their different lived experiences find a welcoming space in the ACF Community where they can be part of the solutions to overcome these challenges.

Not only will this enrich our perspectives, it also adds to our power to influence decision-makers when enacting policies that affect our lives.

This training will equip you with the understanding and skills to create a safe space for engagement with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities. In particular, this training will cover:

  • Why is ACF reaching out and engaging people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities
  • What do we want our engagement to look like and what is stopping us from getting it done right
  • How to disrupt unconscious biases, microaggressions and other unhelpful behaviours while creating a space that is inclusive and welcoming for people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities

This training session will use an approach that is reflective and participatory.

After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

The webinar starts at 6:00pm AEST – so that's 6:00pm in ACT, NSW, QLD, TAS and VIC; 5:30pm in SA; and 4:00pm in WA.

The webinar will go for an hour and a half. See you there!
