It is important that we stay connected as a community during these challenging and uncertain times.

That's why we are inviting you to join our training session in using Facebook to grow your community group.

Facebook has so much potential to connect people to one another and reach new audiences, but it's important to use the tool intentionally. This session will cover how to utilise Facebook Groups to engage and grow your community.

What will we cover in the training?

This training is broken into three sections:
Section 1: The Basics (approx 10 mins)

  • Importance of Social Media
  • Facebook and ACF Community Groups

Section 2: Change the Story (approx 10 mins)

  • The Theory of Basic Human Values
  • The Seven Australias

Section 3: Engaging and Growing an audience (approx 45 mins)

  • 'Content buckets' (ie. breaking news, events...)
  • top tips for engaging your audience
  • how to create an event and poll
  • practical ways to grow your Facebook Group

Who is this training for?

If you are part of one of ACF's Community Groups and already have a Facebook Group - this training is for you. We'll go through the tactics ACF uses to engage an audience, the 'content buckets' of posts and how to grow your Facebook community. This training is suitable for Facebook beginners and intermediates however if you are wondering how to set up a Facebook Group, our Facebook Basics training may be better suited.

After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

The webinar starts at 6:30pm AEDT. So that's 6:30pm for VIC, ACT, NSW and TAS, 6pm for SA, 5:30pm for QLD and 3:30pm for WA.

The webinar will go for an hour and a half. See you there!
