Do you ever feel like activism is burning you out?

ChangeMakers Organising School is running a session on Thursday 19th of November on how to do activism sustainably.

There are lots of ways to think about how we can practice sustainable activism and avoid burnout. This week we’ll be unpacking some strategies for helping groups of volunteers practice sustainability together. We’ll teach and then apply ways you can identify the structural impediments that can show up in our movements and lead to burnout.

In the second half we will run through case studies for using hope – as we know that being in it for the long run can come from having a sense of optimism about what we might achieve. We will include some presentations about how movements and people have successfully energised a grounded sense of hope in these times.

After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

The webinar starts at 6pm AEDT – so that's 6pm in ACT, NSW, TAS, and VIC; 5:30pm in SA, 5pm in QLD and 3pm in WA.

ChangeMakers Organising School is independently run by ChangeMakers podcast and is now in its third season. Every Thursday at 6pm a group of Australian organisers will deliver a free 1 and a 1/2 hour training on the art of change making. While these trainings are running as a series, each week’s topic is self-contained and stands alone so don’t worry if you haven’t attended any of the previous sessions.

ACF will not pass on your contact details if you RSVP, however once you attend the event via zoom the host may collect your contact details to follow up with you. For more information about ChangeMakers Organising School see their website here.
