We're facing a pollution and extinction crisis. With habitat disappearing and the web of life fracturing, creatures like the greater glider, southern corroboree frog and palm cockatoo are vanishing before our eyes.

But right now, the Turnbull Government is threatening to cut the jobs of 60 people who work to protect these incredible animals.

This is outrageous. A good government would be doing more to protect our threatened creatures from extinction, not slashing the critical work their survival depends on.

Sign the petition calling on Minister Josh Frydenberg to save critical jobs in the Department of Environment and Energy.

By signing, you’re standing with the ACF and CPSU (Community and Public Sector Union) communities to speak out for thousands of threatened creatures and the people who work to protect them from extinction.

The environment that we still have in Australia is unique in its diversity of plants and animals. Further loss of species will harm us all and that includes the tourism economy. There needs to be significantly increased protection for this environment and, within the Department of Environment and Energy, allocation of more resources and jobs for people to do this crucial, planet saving work .

Please increase jobs for people protecting our endangered species. We are a part of a web of life that is incredibly beautiful and diverse. We also depend on diversity for our future survival as a species. Don’t ignore your responsibility to future generations – Be a force for good rather than destruction. It will be the greatest legacy you can leave your descendants. Diversity is priceless!!

Australia has such a unique and diverse wildlife, none should be endangered. What a disaster to loose any of our precious creatures. We must do all we can to protect our Australian Wildlife.

We need more jobs that actually save threatened species from extinction. Please do not cut any environmental jobs!
