Bonner is one of the most marginal seats in South-East Queensland and has a history of swinging between the major parties. This makes it a great place to demonstrate that people care about climate damage, because the parties will be paying attention.
We're wanting to help ACF Bayside Community Group put extra feet on the streets to really make an impact. We from the Sunshine Coast will be car-pooling down to Brisbane on Sunday (2nd) morning to meet up at 1 PM.
Don't worry if you're unsure about doorknocking. We'll provide training and a buddy to show you the ropes! There are also other roles you can help with on the day.
We know that conversations are the most powerful way to motivate people to vote and act. That’s why it's so important to reach as many people as possible in this seat and encourage them to use their voices for change.
Come join us to knock the block in the marginal seat of Bonner. It’s a big chance for us to help make the next election the Climate Election where the people of this electorate can make a real difference to the overall outcome.
Please bring your fully-charged smartphone as we'll be using a mobile survey to record our conversations. If you don't have a smartphone please let us know so we can bring enough paper surveys.
A BBQ area gathering in the park will occur at the end of the day to tally results, share stories with other volunteers and enjoy what we have done. Takeaway shops are close by if you want to buy food rather than BYO.

This door-knock will be on the traditional lands of the Turrbal speaking people. According to Wikipedia the Turrbal's tracks form the basis of many modern-day roads.
ACF Community Sunshine Coast Region is part of a network of independently organised, volunteer-run groups in the ACF community. ACF will pass on your contact details to the host for the purpose of running the event.
